Samuel Reid number 50 for the Greater Western Sydney Giants.
First drafted in 2008 to the Western Bulldogs and now playing for the GWS Giants. Sam’s story is one of resilience and determination. After many surgeries and injuries and then a diagnosis of type 1 diabetes he has now had his break through in AFL football and is a great role model for those with diabetes and other chronic conditions. In his most recent season he had the chance to play in his first AFL final and made it to 50 games in AFL.
Living with a chronic incurable disease himself, this event is close to Sam’s heart as he understands the importance of raising awareness and funding.
Sam is proud to be an ambassador for the Children’s Tumour Foundation and Cupid’s Undie Run.
His wife Elissa who works in the health industry will be joining in and supporting this great cause too. Help them out by donating now!
